Intersquash is a simple yet very functional & free web service that generates an iPhone compatible web interface from feeds.

It is very handy to use the service for creating an iPhone version of any website.

Usage of the service is very easy. Just mention the feed URL & the title of the website &  that’s all.

You can see an example for WebResourcesDepot here.

Do you like shopping at Walmart? From electronics to $4 prescriptions, Walmart seems to have everything. But one thing it didn’t have was an iPhone application, and now they do. If you visit the Walmart.com website on your iPhone, you will be presented with an iPhone-specific portal for all of your shopping needs.

From the home page, you can browse through products by category, see current product specials, and even see a list of approved $4 prescriptions (in PDF form). If you tap the “Shopping List” tab, you can create your own shopping list. This is handy if you frequent the actual store. You can also search for a local store or search for an item.

Unfortunately this is where the functionality of the site ends. If you wish to purchase a product you’ll have to visit the regular website, which can be slow to load over a mobile connection. If you want to check out the web app for yourself, just head over to Walmart’s website on your iPhone/iPod touch.

After all the anticipation, the Apple iPhone has now been officially released. Despite rumors that the date will be held off, Apple and AT&T made it available worldwide on June 29th. The Apple iPhone will be offered in 4G and 8G memory models. Alongside Apple, iGoneMobile has prepared their Apple iPhone compatible accessories for its arrival with a variety of products. “The Apple iPhone is a highly anticipated product that is revolutionizing the consumer electronic industry on our end and it was definitely exciting to see how this product would pave the way for wireless accessories,” said iGoneMobile marketing manager Nikki Sutphin. The iPhone is sure to be sold out in an Apple and AT&T store near you.

iPhone compatible accessories
For those who do get their hands on the iPhone, keep your phone smudge free with silicone skin cases from iGone Mobile. The Apple iPhone features are impressive, with its Wi-Fi technology, MP3 player and mobile cell phone all rolled into one device. The new Apple iPhone is equipped with web browser, email and Google-enabled maps capability. Unlike the standard keypad found in most cell phone and smart phones, the Apple iPhone has the revolutionary multi-touch screen on its 3.5 inch widescreen display.

Apple iPhone iTunes library
With its ability to sync with your iTunes library, Apple dubs it as the new “Wide Screen iPod”. The iTunes full library, the web and calls can be navigated with the touch of a finger. In connection, iGone Mobile now has the car and travel chargers available for the Apple iPhone to help combat the multi-tasker usage. “I’m always on my iPod and cell phone all the time. If you put those two together, I will for sure need a charger on hand especially when I get the iPhone,” said Cal State Long Beach student Orlaine Colmenar.

Apple iPhone silicone cases
As far as the Apple iPhone features, it has a sleek design that can fit in the palm of your hands with its 4.5 x 2.4 x 0.46 inches in dimensions. Also, with its multi-touch feature, the screen will need maximum protection from all the interaction it will have. For protection, screen guards and silicone cases specifically tailored to fit the Apple iPhone are also available at iGone Mobile website.

Get a Stylus for your iPhone

Pogo Stylus is here, and it works seamlessly with your iPhone.

“The creative geniuses at Apple have an unmatched ability to think up quality-engineered technology products with superior design,” said Peter Skinner, Ten One Design CEO. “So, when developing the Pogo Stylus, we looked for materials and processes to equal the good looks of the iPhone and iPod touch.”

The tip uses considerably less surface area than a fingertip, which makes navigating the user interface easier and more enjoyable. And people with longer fingernails or larger fingers no longer experience gadget envy from not being able to use touch screen devices. The stylus easily glides across the screen and even keeps it free of smudges and grease.

At only $20, this may be the new accessory for your favorite accessory.

Firefox release for iPhone

Unfortunately not…

Wired has interviewed Mozilla CEO John Lilly, and sadly they have confirmed that there will be no version of Firefox for the iPhone.

Wired: Are you going to develop a version of Firefox for the iPhone?

Lilly: No. Apple makes it too hard. They say it’s because of technical issues — they don’t want outsiders to disrupt the user experience. That’s a business argument masquerading as a technological argument. We’re focusing on more important stuff. The iPhone has been influential, but there’s not that many of them. We’re part of the LiMo Foundation — Linux on Mobile. The Razr V2 is a LiMo phone, and you’ll see more in the next year or so.

Let’s hope that Apple will allow them to release a version in the near future.
